Job Summary
Hertfordshire Constabulary is a forward-thinking police force with a Prevention First ethos placing victims of crime first and foremost in our service delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Solicitor to join our team in the Legal Services Department. The successful candidate will have a good track record of Civil Litigation, with a minimum of 5 years' PQE. Supervision of staff is included as an important part of your role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert legal advice in a variety of matters and representation to the police force.
Handle Civil Litigation, defending Civil Claims against the Chief Constable, Employment Tribunal Claims, Firearms Appeals, Inquests, and applications for Civil Protection Orders.
Utilize management experience, communication skills, planning and organisational skills, technology, and resources to deliver the best level of service to the police force and public.
Maintain the highest standards of integrity and be a role model for all those who work with you.
