Deputy Head of Service

to join HCRG Care Group. In this pivotal leadership role, you will support the strategic and operational delivery of high-quality services across our organization. Working closely with the Head of Service, you will contribute to service transformation, ensuring we meet our goals of excellence, efficiency, and community impact. Based within our innovative and inclusive environment, you will have the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams, drive service improvements, and shape the future of care delivery in our organization. Interviews for this role will be held on Wednesday 5th February 2025 Main duties of the job

As Deputy Head of Service, you will: Operational Management :

Support the Head of Service in the day-to-day management of service operations. Ensure safe, timely assessment, referral, and discharge processes across the service. Oversee and deliver key performance targets agreed upon with the Head of Service.

Leadership & Development :

Provide effective leadership, inspiring teams to achieve excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Line-manage clinical and management staff, ensuring they are fully engaged in service redesign and development initiatives. Act as a Quality Champion, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Service Improvement :

Lead the implementation of service redesign and development techniques, ensuring sustainable improvements. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including health, social care, and voluntary sector partners.

Representation & Advocacy :

Represent the organization at meetings, events, and stakeholder engagements. Work collaboratively as part of the Senior Management Team to support strategic direction and operational priorities.

To excel in this role, you will need: Education & Qualifications :

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience. Membership of a relevant professional body. Evidence of continuous professional and clinical development.

Experience & Skills :

Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and achieving contractual and performance KPIs. Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills. Ability to work autonomously while fostering integrated working relationships. Proficiency in IT tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SystmOne. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire change in clinical practice. Effective presentation, organizational, and written communication skills. Knowledge and experience in recruitment, HR processes, clinical governance, and quality assurance. Proven ability to develop networks across health, social care, and the community sector.

Other Requirements :

Car owner with access to a vehicle and willingness to travel across the quadrant/Essex as needed.

Desirable Criteria

Mentorship qualifications. Project management experience. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
