Key Duties: Support the Head of Trust Wide Reporting in coordinating and managing the process of annual budget setting for the Trust, working in accordance with the Trust’s budgeting policies and principles for approval by the Deputy Director of Finance. Coordinate the department's monthly reporting cycle, working closely with various teams to meet strict deadlines and ensure adherence to the timetable. Collate comprehensive statistical information from numerous sources and accurately analyze the data to inform the Trust’s monthly I&E position, which translates into the monthly financial performance report for the Trust Board and other relevant Committees. Establish robust departmental procedures with the Head of Trust Wide Reporting to ensure adherence to the monthly timetable. Oversee the maintenance of records and reconciliation controls of approved budgets to provide a clear audit trail of non-recurring and recurring changes. Support the Head of Trust Wide Reporting and the Head of Costing, Reporting Lead in the preparation and analysis of Trust Wide forecasts, examining variances between actuals and forecasts to aid in mitigating action plans. Provide financial costings, costing models, and analysis in a timely manner for a wide range of areas. Collate and prepare Trust-wide reports, including financial recovery plans, from the coordination of timely submissions from FM teams. Provide ad-hoc financial advice and assistance to Budget Holders and Budget Managers. Ensure Internal and External Audit recommendations associated with Budgetary Control, Financial Reporting, and other Financial Ledger issues are discharged within the agreed timeframe. Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in the Trust and outside it, ensuring work is carried out efficiently to deliver a professional service focused on achieving a high level of customer satisfaction. Contribute to the Department's delivery of Budgetary Management and other Finance training to Non-Finance staff members. Adhere to the Trust’s Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions. Support the Head of Trust Wide Reporting in providing business management support to enhance decision making within the Trust. Deputize for the Head of Trust Wide Reporting when required. Perform any other duties deemed appropriate within the role.
