Simonside Primary School, Jarrow L8-L12 Required for April 2025, or as soon as possible afterwards NOR: 225 We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly committed Deputy Head teacher to work in partnership with the Head teacher to provide reflective, dynamic and forward thinking leadership with a shared vision in our school. Simonside Primary is a ‘Good’ school, for children from Reception to Year 6, where ‘There is an infectious sense of happiness and community’, as well as embedding ‘the personal development programme with care across the whole curriculum’. (Ofsted November 2023) We are looking to appoint a Deputy Head who has: extensive experience of effective monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning with the ability to inspire, implement change, and to challenge experience of having used successful strategies, research and best practice for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating school improvement excellent motivational, communication and interpersonal skills with a team approach to school leadership the ability to lead, manage and organise an effective curriculum high expectations for all children, staff, families and Governors thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures an absolute commitment to being involved in the wider school community We can offer you: children who make us smile and be proud every day a highly committed and supportive Governing Body friendly and welcoming staff CPD and support opportunities A part of belonging to a caring community Visits to the school are encouraged and warmly welcomed.
