within the next
6-12 months . About the Role:
As Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home, providing care for two young people currently in residence and helping to drive the home towards excellence. You will also have a
genuine pathway to Registered Management
as the organisation expands its portfolio. Key Responsibilities:
Team Support:
Assist the Registered Manager in leading, motivating, and developing the team. Provide guidance and mentoring to staff, ensuring high standards of care and professionalism.
Care Delivery:
Oversee the care and support of young people, tailoring plans to meet their needs and aspirations. Foster a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure the home complies with Ofsted and other regulatory requirements. Contribute to monitoring, auditing, and improvement plans for the service.
Operational Support:
Help manage staffing, rotas, and resources to ensure the smooth running of the home. Step up to manage the home in the Registered Manager's absence.
Development Opportunities:
Prepare for future leadership by gaining experience and insight into the management of a new service. Play a key role in the setup and operation of the new Grantham home.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker in a residential childcare setting. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent); Level 5 in Leadership and Management is desirable or willingness to work towards it. Strong understanding of EBD and safeguarding principles. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. A genuine ambition to progress to Registered Manager within 6-12 months. Why Join?
