Category C men's prison , located in the village of Stradishall in Suffolk, England. Highpoint Prison offers free parking and free use of an on-site large gym. 37.5 hours a week mainly working Monday to Friday 8-4 or 8.30-4.30pm with some weekend cover when required. Salary

You will receive an annual salary up to £46,420 per annum - depending on experience. How will we support you?

Main Duties of the Job

As a Deputy Mental Health Lead (Senior Nurse), your responsibilities will vary. You will: Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options. Manage a team of around 5 or 6 Mental Health Nurses, LD Nurse, and a TNA. Undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed. Assess patients' health needs using an evidence-based framework and be able to risk assess using sound clinical knowledge. Ensure that you assess the physical and mental health of prisoners on admission to the prison and throughout their period of custody so that any appropriate referral can be made. Be responsible for making a clinical judgement regarding any immediate need and long-term treatment. If you are interested in

You will be a qualified Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever-changing. Must have strong leadership experience and team management. Current professional qualification (NMC) and evidence of Continued Professional Development. Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working. A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
