Job Summary: We are seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) dedicated and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team and assist in leading our nursery in providing outstanding early years education and care. The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the nursery, providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Management:

Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the nursery's day-to-day operations, including staff management, recruitment, and training. Curriculum Development:

Support the implementation and monitoring of a high-quality, age-appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all children. Childcare:

Ensure the welfare and safety of all children, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times. Parent Engagement:

Build strong relationships with parents and carers, regularly updating their child's progress and promptly addressing any concerns. Compliance:

Ensure the nursery complies with all regulatory requirements, including Ofsted standards, and ensure it operates within the guidelines set by relevant authorities. Financial Management:

Assist in managing the nursery's budget, including resource allocation and financial reporting. Continuous Improvement:

Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the quality of care and education provided. Qualifications and Skills: Essential :

Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent Minimum of 2 years experience in a senior nursery role Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework Excellent leadership and communication skills First Aid and Safeguarding certification

Desirable:

Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Experience in a management position within a nursery setting

Personal Attributes: Passionate about early years education and childcare Friendly, approachable, and professional Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
