Deputy Payroll Manager Duration: 9 – 12 month contract Location: Wolverhampton (office based) Pay Rate: £20 hourly PAYE / £23.50 hourly via Umbrella (both inclusive of holiday pay) Hours: 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri Duties/Responsibilities: Coordinating the Payroll team to deliver all aspects of payroll, effective payment processes, and coordinate the IR35 process Develop internal and external relationships with key stakeholders (faculties, HMRC, government agencies, etc.) to strengthen internal processes Deputise for the Payroll Manager as required Respond clearly and concisely to varied and complex enquiries from employers and stakeholders Support the Payroll and Payments Manager in overseeing the Monthly expenses process Monitor legislation and regulations related to Payroll, IR35, and Expenses to ensure adherence Produce statistical information for external bodies such as the Office for National Statistics Requirements: Experience of operating computerised payroll systems Excellent communication skills Ability to supervise the work of others Public Sector experience
