Due to expansion, our client is looking to appoint a Deputy Production Manager to join their growing team in Shrewsbury.
The Role:
Help create and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to effectively satisfy customer demand. Ensure that production goals are regularly reached and that processes operate efficiently. Ensure all production equipment is kept up to date and functional. Coordinate with maintenance teams to manage repairs and minimize downtime. Oversee and guide the production team, ensuring alignment with daily objectives. Provide direction and assistance to employees to guarantee efficient teamwork and transparent communication. Implement cost-cutting strategies such as reducing material waste and maximizing worker hours. Examine production procedures regularly for methods to cut expenses without compromising quality. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like waste levels, material consumption, and production output. Make decisions based on this data to increase overall production efficiency.
The Candidate: Previous experience working in a management role. Experience working in a food manufacturing environment. HACCP Level 3. Strong understanding of food safety standards (HACCP) and health and safety regulations. Capable of motivating teams and working effectively under pressure. IOSH certification.
