Deputy Registered Healthcare Manager - Children's Home Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE Location: Wolverhampton Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (9-5, on-site)

About the Role: As the Deputy Registered Healthcare Manager, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager with the smooth running of our children's home in Wolverhampton. You'll help ensure high standards of care, compliance with regulations, and the development of a strong, motivated team. What You'll Do:

Assist in Day-to-Day Management:

Support the Registered Manager in overseeing the home's daily operations, ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards. Deliver Outstanding Care:

Help implement high-quality, person-centred care plans tailored to the needs of each child, regularly reviewing and adapting them as necessary. Team Support and Development:

Supervise, mentor, and train staff to foster a cohesive and skilled team. Promote a culture of collaboration and excellence. Safeguard and Protect:

Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child in the home. Promote Health and Safety:

Conduct regular risk assessments, enforce health and safety policies, and ensure a safe environment for all. Foster Positive Relationships:

Build strong connections with the children's families, the community, and external agencies to support holistic care. Quality Assurance:

Assist in monitoring compliance and implementing quality assurance measures to maintain high standards across the service. Strategic Contribution:

Work with the Registered Manager to identify areas for improvement and contribute to plans for service development.

What We're Looking For:

A relevant qualification in healthcare or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care). Experience in a supervisory role within a children's residential setting, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to support the team and address challenges effectively. A proactive and compassionate approach, with a commitment to the wellbeing and development of children and young people.
