Knowledge Essential Knowledgeable practitioner in neonatal nursing Awareness of BAPM Guidelines and the East Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network Desirable Ability to apply evidence-based practice in the neonatal environment. Qualifications Essential Registered with NMC RSCN (Registered Sick Children's Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) Child RN Registered Nurse Desirable 1st level Degree in Nursing Training Essential Safeguarding children Level 3 QIS (Qualified in Speciality Neonates) Mentorship Qualification or equivalent Desirable Extended Skills Cannulation Current NLS Course Experience Essential Experience of Neonatal nursing at band 5 Team player, excellent communication skills Consolidation with Qualified in Speciality (QIS) Desirable Band 6 experience in neonates Contractual Essential Good understanding of IT and systems Occupational Health Clearance Ability to work in a hospital environment flexibility within the 24 hours rota period
