Deputy Store Manager

to join our team and deputise for the store owner. This pivotal role combines hands-on sales, team management, and operational leadership. As Deputy Store Manager, you will play a vital part in ensuring Baby Lady continues to provide exceptional customer service and achieves its business goals. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Service: Assist customers in choosing the right baby equipment with a friendly, empathetic, and professional approach. Use your knowledge of our products to provide advice tailored to individual needs. Drive sales and meet store targets by delivering exceptional service and understanding customer requirements. Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage the team to maintain a positive, supportive, and productive working environment. Train and develop team members to ensure consistent performance and expertise. Operational Excellence: Work closely with the owner to set and achieve sales targets and operational goals. Ensure the store runs smoothly day-to-day, including stock management, visual merchandising, and scheduling. Handle any issues that arise with confidence and professionalism. Customer Experience: Maintain our high standards of customer care by ensuring every customer leaves the store feeling valued and supported. Handle escalated queries or concerns with sensitivity and efficiency. About You We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic, and experienced individual who can represent Baby Lady’s ethos of exceptional service and care. Experience: Proven background in retail management or customer service, ideally within a family-focused or specialist retail environment. Strong sales skills with a history of achieving targets. Skills & Qualities: A natural leader who inspires trust and respect from both customers and team members. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, ensuring smooth store operations. Warm, approachable, and understanding, particularly when supporting new and expecting parents. Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward solving problems.
