Deputy Technical Authority

to join the Composite Repairs team, based in Aberdeen. The

Deputy Technical Authority – Composites

will provide Technical Assurance to all ICR Composites engineering work in all aspects of ICR Composites activities. This role will report to the Technical Director, Composites. The main tasks include, but are not limited to: Identify appropriate technical resources to undertake and support ICR Composite operational and project activities including specialist R&D programmes, design activities, installation improvement initiatives, etc. Provide technical supervision, management and support for all technical / engineering personnel. Develop and approve technical engineering project / operational deliverables. Approve and close-out of ICR Composite Engineering Technical Queries and MOC’s. Work as Lead Engineer on specific project(s) as required. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that all engineering work is executed in compliance with applicable legislation, relevant international, national and Company standards, ICR BMS requirements, and Contract requirements as appropriate. Technical approval for all ICR Composite technical or engineering documents with Global Composite Repair Director and Engineering Technical Authority. Develop and approve ICR Composite Technical / Engineering BMS documents with Global Composite Repair Director and Engineering Technical Authority. Maintain and, where possible, develop Company’s capability, skills and knowledge within the discipline. Maintain the Company’s engineering software. Key Skills, Attributes and Experience: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline. Chartered Engineer in good standing with the institute controlling the piping / non-metallic Engineering discipline or demonstrably working towards chartership. Previous experience in a similar composite design environment. Proven track record of technical management within piping / non-metallic engineering Previous experience of developing and approval of maintenance and integrity strategies, as well as previous experience of developing and managing the delivery of applicable Performance Standards.
