Monday – Friday 8.30am – 17.00pm We have a new vacancy in our Warehouse team for a Deputy Warehouse Manager. This role will be responsible for managing a team of Warehouse Operatives across 4 shifts, including development and coaching on both individual and team performances to maintain and improve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely. Main responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to): Maintain and promote safe working practices and environment. Reporting to H&S department Housekeeping audits Understand warehouse compliance regulations Accurate reporting and communication Safe, accurate and effective storage of goods Maximise team performance and fleet utilisation Optimisation of goods in/out process Identify and schedule training requirements Ensure communication flow throughout the team Day to day management of the team including appraisals / disciplinary Identify, develop and implement improvement opportunities Day to day problem solving The ideal candidate will have: Demonstrable experience in a medium to large fast moving consumer goods manufacturing company which will include at least 3 years’ experience in a first line management or supervisory position. Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and a good understanding of health and safety awareness and legal responsibilities Proven experience of working with high volume/fast moving daily processes and deadlines Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within the team and at all levels internally and externally. An understanding of export legislation especially using freight and logistics for global distribution is desirable.
