SET Ixworth school is a small high school set in the picturesque Suffolk countryside. We are over-subscribed and will have around 600 pupils in the school by September 2024.
The school enjoys a positive reputation in the community, as evidenced by the high demand for Year 7 places in September 2024. The students demonstrate respect, motivation and very good behaviour in their learning.
The school's vision is to provide a world-class education that truly serves those it educates by always reflecting on and addressing individual needs, strengths, and interests. There is a Specialist Resource Base on site for around 12 pupils, supporting pupils with Communication and Interaction needs. Potential applicants are encouraged to visit the school.
The school is currently rated “good” by Ofsted, with an inspection from September 2019.
We are seeking to appoint a Design and Technology, and Art Technician. You will be part of a small, popular faculty where teamwork, communication and planning are essential. You will be able to work to tight deadlines, acting on your own initiative and also supporting teachers in the three different subject areas. You will be required, with the class teacher, to support students with a range of needs during some practical lessons. You will have an eye for detail in ensuring that each area is compliant with applicable Health and Safety regulations.
