32,000 - 47,000 per annum We are seeking a Design / Development Engineer to join our client's Engineering department in Whitstable. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and delivering commercial solutions that meet customers' needs. The successful candidate will ensure customer satisfaction through high performance on product development delivery.
Day-to-day of the Design / Development Engineer role:
Aid the Sales team with New Engineering Opportunities. Manage NPI gate stages from concept to handover to manufacturing. Contribute to the New Product Strategic development. Create marketing literature for new and existing products. Develop manufacturing job sheets and specifications. Manage NPI/SPI tracker and ensure configuration control for drawings, manufacturing documentation, and ERP. Implement customer drawing change requests and create new Process Specifications to introduce new manufacturing standards. Ensure products manufactured meet specifications and accompany testing/documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications of the Design / Development Engineer
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred. Experience in new product development, project management, or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing or technology-driven industry. Competency with CAD models and technical drawings for manufacture.
