Design Draughtsperson Job Purpose

To create detailed technical drawings and plans for complex subsea / renewable equipment handling systems, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and client specifications. Key Responsibilities

Technical Drawings: Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software. Design Development: Assist in the development of conceptual designs and detailed engineering solutions. Documentation: Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications and reports. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure designs are feasible and meet project requirements. Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Support: Provide technical support during the manufacturing and installation phases. Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks). Industry Knowledge: Understanding of fabrication design engineering principles and industry standards. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and a practical approach to problem-solving. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Education: A degree or diploma in engineering, design, or a related field. Desirable Attributes

Experience: Previous experience in subsea equipment design or a general fabrication related field. Software Knowledge: Familiarity with 2D & 3D CAD modelling using AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Works or similar, Microsoft Office suite. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work. Additional Information

Location: Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, with potential for occasional travel. Working Hours: Full-time. Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
