Design Engineer

Directly support the Technical Director with the creation/modification of any documents deemed necessary including, but not limited to: Product Bill of materials. Product handbooks and technical files 2D and 3D drawings and models. Picking List and other workshop documentation product work instructions, reference documents. Liaise with customers and other interested parties regarding current projects, new R&D projects, technical requests, and products. Provide technical support for products and projects. Document and collate machine test data and records. Maintain document revisions, projects, and new build files. Manage the day-to-day Health and Safety requirements, including calibration and certification. Challenge and drive innovation within our units to offer class-leading stations within all markets. What do you need to have? A good understanding of mechanical and electrical components and uses. Understanding of simple electrics and pneumatics control. Experience with speaking and dealing with customers/suppliers over the phone and face to face. A willingness to learn and develop within the role. Experience with ideally Solidworks and 3D drawing principles. Degree/BTEC Level 3 or similar within mechanical/electrical engineering or product design. Full Driving license. Other bits you need to know: Salary: up to 30,000 per annum + Bonus (dependent on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm – This role is offered with a hybrid setup: 3 days from the office/factory and 2 days from home.
