Reporting to the Design Team Leader, you will design and deliver a variety of highway, civil engineering, and traffic management projects.

Our team has a robust project pipeline, with values up to £5 million, including cycle improvements, junction upgrades, public realm enhancements, and local highway works.

You will manage projects from feasibility to on-site delivery, including the Traffic Regulation process. The Role • Undertake feasibility and design work on a wide range of highways and civil engineering schemes using existing best practice, guidance and within the current legislative framework. • Analyse engineering problems, apply technical expertise and engineering judgement and produce solutions to meet legal and management objectives. • Identify, prepare, design, plan, programme and order works and services. • Assist in the management and monitoring of works programmes or services to ensure that schemes are delivered on time and within budget. • Liaising as required directly with Elected Members, Parish Councils, public and stakeholders. Minimum Requirements • Educated to HNC/HND or Degree level in Civil Engineering is desirable. • Membership of a relevant professional institution at Eng Tech level or actively working towards IEng level is desirable. • Experience with Highway / Traffic Legislation, relevant design procedures and standards and good practice is essential. • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD 2D is essential. • Ability to use MS packages – Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
