Do you have experience working with clean water networks? Are you a Design Engineer looking for a new challenge? About the role:

As a Design Engineer, you will ideally have experience of working with or designing clean water networks and an understanding of CDM regulations in the design process. Initially, you will provide support to Senior Design Engineers to deliver projects to programme, within budget, and to the correct quality standards.

What you'll be doing:

Manage the customer journey up to and including the point of payment and be responsible for resolving any customer queries regarding design, survey, and cost. Carry out the duties of the Designer role under CDM, ensuring the design you produce for all types of schemes handled by Development Experience is compliant with company design standards and all information required under this role, such as hazard identification and Pre-Construction information, is provided. Communicate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the design is fit for construction. Ensure all tasks are completed in line with agreed Water UK service levels, supporting our D-MeX ambition. Where customer satisfaction is at risk, take appropriate mitigating action. Ensure that the safety, health, and well-being of self, colleagues, consumers, and customers is continuously improved and put at the forefront of everything we do. What you'll need: Experience in a similar Design / Engineering role with a strong technical background. Excellent computer literacy and IT skills, including proficiency in CAD. Proven experience of working in a Customer Experience environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of New Connections Charging Arrangements, Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, and NRSWA. Full UK Driving Licence. The role will be office-based with a hybrid nature between Hatfield and home location.
