Business Need / Purpose of Role: Provide all aspects of engineering support relating to the design, upgrading/modification and maintenance of various types of rotating equipment, ensuring that Health, Safety, Environment and Quality is maintained in accordance with the client HSEQ management systems. Objectives & Measurement: Responsible for the smooth execution and on-time completion of all tasks and undertakings to the highest standards of professionalism, safety and quality. Actively support and promote the Company's Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and other policies and procedures at all times. Establish and build a good working relationship with all Trillium customers both internal and external. Continue to broaden design knowledge and expand depth of knowledge specifically relating to company products and services. Preparation of accurate 3D CAD Models and Drawings. Preparation of product definition (Quality Plans). Produce initiative designs. Identify performance improvements. Preparation of design reports and participate in design reviews. Knowledge of applications and material selection. Communicate with other team members and departments with respect to engineering design issues. Ensure product integrity is always maintained. Ensure engineering related non-conformance reports (NCRs) are resolved timeously. Measurement: Highest HSEQ Standards achieved throughout the duration of all tasks and undertakings. Timeliness of work measured by departmental KPIs, in particular safety, Quality and On-Time Delivery. Excellent levels of liaison with all client customers both internal and external. Complete stakeholder satisfaction throughout the lifetime of all tasks and undertakings. Education and/or Experience: Mechanical Engineering qualification to HNC/Degree level or equivalent experience in a related engineering design field. Excellent knowledge of Design and Manufacturing Techniques. Knowledge of the International Standards associated with small, medium and large rotating equipment, particularly centrifugal pumps, hydro turbines and induction motors. Ability to read, interpret and understand Component Manufacturing Drawings, Technical Specifications, Operating and Maintenance instruction/procedures. Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and to write in technical language. Ability to work accurately and self-verify own work. Ability to effectively manage own daily workload with minimum supervision. Excellent computer skills. Able to interact with people in a busy Engineering and Contracts Office environment. Product Knowledge: Advantageous to possess knowledge associated with small, medium and large rotating equipment, centrifugal pumps, hydro turbines and induction motors. Knowledge of overhauling, repairing and upgrading pumps, steam turbines and centrifugal gas compressors.
