Design Engineer , you'll play a pivotal role in product design and prototyping, updating drawings, and managing product lifecycle changes. Working closely with the test lab and project teams, you'll oversee the design validation process and ensure compliance testing is completed. Key responsibilities include: Using
SolidWorks CAD
(and some
Creo ) for 3D modelling. Designing, prototyping, and producing technical files. Liaising with suppliers and managing testing regimes. Modifying designs to meet customer needs. Analysing competitor products and improving existing designs. About You: We're looking for someone with: SolidWorks expertise and experience in product/lighting design. An HNC/HND/Degree in engineering or equivalent experience. Strong project management and organisational skills. Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and materials. Proficiency in MS Office and a full clean driving licence. Bonus Skills : Familiarity with Creo, lens/optical design software, or Relux/DIALux is advantageous.
