EDS Design Engineer - Salary up to £40,000 39 hours per week with 12:30 finish on Friday Working from home 2 days a week Monthly car allowance Private medical cover 15% company pension Company bonus Sick pay The Role We are looking for a Design Engineer to join a world leading automotive business at their head site in the Buckinghamshire area. They employ over 15,000 people across the UK and Europe and work with some of the largest automotive companies around the world. The role will involve managing EDS wire harness product designs, supporting drawing creation, technical problem solving and mass production from the NPI (new product introduction) perspective. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Creation of wire harness 2D and 3D data using Siemens NX and Harness Designer (HD) Production of System Circuit Schematics to requirements including Zuken Cabling Designer system and Varian Module (VM) Communicate advance information of all design changes to manufacturing facilities and project management Ensuring that product definition meets customer and internal standards, especially with regard to design for manufacture and quality assurance Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required Degree qualified in Engineering or extensive work experience in the EDS/wire harness field Experience of Automotive business requirements with particular reference to Engineering/Projects and Quality systems considered to be an advantage Proficient in Siemens NX 2D/3D wiring harness design software, Cabling Designer/VM and HD is desirable. Training can be considered for appropriate candidate.
