Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Design Engineer in a full-time position at our Norwich or Fakenham workshop. The successful candidate will collaborate with other Drawing Office and Project Management team members to deliver large and often complex projects. You will work on projects from the point of order and through the planning, design, manufacture, and installation stages with the aim of delivering projects on time and within budget whilst providing superb quality and service. Projects range from highly decorative freestanding furniture through to significant architectural joinery installations with contract values up to £5m. Required Skills & Experience: A personable, positive, organised, and resourceful problem solver who is very much a team player; you will have a good understanding of form and function and have strong commercial awareness. Candidates applying must have in-depth knowledge of joinery gained in the drawing office, installations, or production department from a relevant industry. You will bring exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be confident in decision making, instructing others, and solving problems collaboratively at all project stages. You will deliver the projects assigned to your team as well as contribute to the ongoing research and development of company standards. This is a unique and dynamic role focused on transforming designs provided by external partners into efficiently made furniture and joinery that provides aesthetic and functional quality.
