About the Role: We are seeking talented and driven Design Engineers to join our clients team specializing in rail design. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of innovative solutions for rail interiors and exterior composite parts, ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (preferred). Postgraduate specialization in Mechanical or Structural Engineering is an advantage. Professional Experience: Design Engineer Role: 6-10 years of experience in Design for Rail, Automotive, or FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) industries. Technical Knowledge: Expertise in fibre-reinforced composite materials, including manufacturing processes and techniques, is preferred. Proficiency in 3D modelling, assembly, and surfacing using CATIA V5 is essential. Strong understanding of composite structures, FRP part/tooling design, and manufacturing processes, with specific focus on rail interiors and exterior composite parts.

Key Responsibilities: Design & Engineering Tasks: Develop and modify 3D models related to FRP mould design and part modelling. Ensure design solutions meet quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets. Apply knowledge across multiple disciplines, including steel, aluminium, rubber, FRP, fasteners, and associated manufacturing processes. Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (local and global) to validate inputs and align with project goals. Manage project data, including: Bill of Materials (BoM) data collection. Creation of family trees in AX. Material type and quantity estimation. Milestone tracking and specification management.

Support Functions: Assist the tender team in preparing proposals. Support Quality Management Systems (QMS) initiatives, including KPI tracking, and implementing IRIS, rail welding, and bonding standards. Process Improvement: Promote and implement "Design to Cost" and Lean principles to optimize processes and outcomes.

Required Skills: Strong analytical abilities for data gathering, organization, and analysis. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders. In-depth understanding of design principles and best practices. Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment. Customer-focused mindset with a keen understanding of product requirements. Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Technical Proficiency: Software Tools: Full Microsoft Office Suite. CATIA V5 (mandatory). Basic knowledge of ERP systems related to design tasks.
