JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION- Stoke-On-Trent
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £23,000 - £35,000 per annum (plus benefits)
My client designs and manufactures a range of products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the Stoke-On-Trent area.
The Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
Degree BSc / BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar (HNC/ HND / NVQ may also be considered)
Proficiency with 3D CAD software- ideally Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD / iLogic but other programmes might also be considered
0-2 years or more industry experience
Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations
Any previous experience of working with steel / metal materials would be desirable
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Be keen to develop with a company long term
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office
The Graduate Mechanical Designer Engineer role will involve:
Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers
Seeing through design projects from concept through to completion
Producing 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD
Generating the BOM’s to go with the associated designs
Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
