Are you a Design Manager looking to broaden your horizons and join a contractor who works on unique and interesting civil engineering projects? Are you looking for a role that supports hybrid working as opposed to 5 days a week in the office? A well-respected civil engineering contractor has a vacancy for a Design Manager to be based out of their office in the North West. They are a civil engineering contractor who are proven within the industry, with a number of projects across the board stretching across the country. They are seeking an individual with a managerial background to look after the design team on a range of different projects. Your duties and responsibilities:

Managing designs at the preconstruction and construction stage of projects. Producing and reviewing design programmes and design scopes. Attending and presenting at meetings with all stakeholders. Ensuring that design and the technical requirements are compliant with the legislation. Ensuring sustainability requirements are embedded within the design. Coordinating the design team. Liaising with the wider project team to ensure construction adheres to design. The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification). A full UK driving license. Ability to show experience gained in a similar role (ideally major projects / tier 1 experience).
