Design Manager

Design Manager focuses on this role focussed on civil layout & groundworks design along with leading design reviews and managing 3rd parties supporting with the design process.

What the role involves

• This role focussed on Civil Layout & Groundworks Design along with leading Design Reviews and managing 3rd parties supporting with the design process.
• Develop detailed site layouts, equipment positioning, trenching routes, ducting, drainage, and access arrangements.
• Maintain AutoCAD 2D drawings and technical documentation.
• Coordinating design activities with project managers, contractors, utilities, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Work closely with electrical and hardware engineering teams to ensure successful integration of charging infrastructure.
• Supporting utility connection activities including DNO coordination and substation integration.

Skills and requirements

• Experience delivering EV charging infrastructure or similar electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong AutoCAD 2D capability.
• Experience producing site layouts and construction-ready design documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously.

• Design Manager (Civils) – EV Charging Infrastructure - Birmingham (Hybrid) - £DOE.
• Working closely with electrical, mechanical, and project delivery teams, you will help develop practical, buildable infrastructure solutions for high-power charging installations.
• Minimum 2 days Onsite in Birmingham.
