Based close to Lewes, they primarily work in the residential sector including both private and social housing schemes of up to £30M. The Design Manager / Technical Manager role:
As the Design Manager, you will work closely with the estimating, delivery, surveying, and site teams to manage the ongoing design process across a number of schemes. You will be comfortable coordinating and collaborating with external consultants, suppliers, architects, engineers, and other external stakeholders to ensure designs meet client requirements, regulations, and budget, providing support and guidance to the various teams in regard to construction techniques, suitable and alternative materials, and the latest specs/regulations. You will be working within a small friendly team.
Requirements:
You will be an experienced Design Manager or Technical Manager with a stable employment history working for main contractors or residential contractors. You will be comfortable managing projects through the design process from pre-construction through to handover. A related Degree is desirable but not essential.
Successful candidates will join a business that is financially secure, has a strong pipeline of work, and is on a good number of frameworks ensuring ongoing work. In addition, they have steadily increased turnover year on year for many years. They also allow staff to work from home for up to two days per week.
