Job Overview We are seeking a talented and innovative Project Designer to join our dynamic team in Central London. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in interpreting architectural drawings to align with the architect’s vision and design intent. This includes reviewing shop drawings from the sign-off stage through to production. The primary focus is to support Sales Managers in enhancing the success and market presence in the architectural sector. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to Sales Managers during project specification meetings. Engage in the full project lifecycle, liaising closely with architects and relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with architects to address special requirements and project developments, with support from the project development and production teams. Assess project scope from tender drawings, identifying potential challenges early on. Assist sales representatives and clients with design detailing and technical guidance. Create shop drawings aligned with the product schedule to facilitate accurate production orders. Develop and design solutions for technical challenges related to product installation, custom parts, or supporting components. Work closely with the product design and production teams to develop specialized solutions. Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, with strong ability to interpret architectural drawings. Knowledge of SolidWorks is beneficial but not essential. Strong 3D visualization skills with the ability to translate designs into 2D formats. Solid understanding of construction and building techniques. Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (fluent level). Self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvement and development. Effective problem-solving and multitasking abilities. Education & Experience Education: Degree or technical qualification in design, architecture, engineering, or a related field preferred. Experience: Prior experience in a design management role, preferably within the architectural or construction industry. Sales support or customer service experience handling inquiries and quotations is also valuable. Key Competencies Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to work collaboratively as a team player. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Creative thinker with a talent for generating innovative ideas and process improvements. Strong listening skills and ability to quickly adapt to new challenges. Stakeholders & Relations Internal: Sales Managers, Project Development Team, Production Team, Managing Director. External: Architects, Clients, Contractors, Suppliers.
