Freelance Design Manager - Leading Residential Contractor
Location: London & North of Thames Rate: £300 - £350 per day Contract Duration: 12 months Start Date: 10 February 2025
A residential contractor requires a Design Manager on a contract basis for re-cladding projects in London. The duration of the contract will be 12 months.
This is an office-based position with site visits to re-cladding works projects within the M25 and North of the Thames.
Key skills and experience required: 5 - 10 years' experience as a Design Manager with a Principal Contractor on residential projects. Experienced in ensuring the design information from the design team and subcontractors is of the right quality. Solid understanding of current legislation, standards, codes of practice, and industry best practices, and able to apply it in design reviews and coordination. Good understanding of technical aspects of re-cladding. Awareness of how design impacts commercial, contractual, programme, and HSEQ aspects within a project. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management with respect to clients, professional practices, and site operators, both internal and external to the Company.
