Senior Consultant - UK Civil Engineering Are you an experienced Design Manager looking for a new challenge? James Gray recruitment are actively seeking a Design Manager on behalf of one of our key civil engineering clients. Our client: • A UK leading civil engineering contractor specialising within water and waste water. What you’ll be doing: • This role brings an opportunity to lead and manage multi-disciplinary design teams in the delivery of essential infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage design activities across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors, to deliver effective design solutions. • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for the design process. • Ensure designs meet health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a safety-first culture. • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the design team, mentoring junior team members. • Conduct design reviews and manage the quality assurance process. What you will need to be successful: • Degree in Civil Engineering, Design Management, or a related field. • Proven experience in design management within the infrastructure, utilities, or water sector. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement. • Proficiency in relevant design software and tools. • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations. What’s in it for you?
