About the Company: We’re partnered with a market leader in the manufacturing of conveyor systems and components, specialising in standard and bespoke solutions for material handling. Role Overview – Design Manager: Joining their dynamic team based in the West-Midlands, my client is looking for an ambitious Design Manager with a mechanical bias to manage a team of design engineers, enhance existing drawings & assist with the design for new conveyor product development. The ideal candidate will be driven, professional, and focused on working for a tight-knit organisation. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for managing a team of design engineers. Responsible for conveyor drawings, alongside drawing changes & checks in alignment with the customer’s needs. Responsible for utilising CAD, AutoCAD, SolidWorks to build the design & drawings for customers conveyor orders. Main point of contact for production line queries, customer enquiries and internal design support. Responsible for training junior design engineers. Responsible for field maintenance & support on an infrequent basis, working alongside the engineering team. Requirements: Experience at a minimum of senior-team lead level in a design role. Experience of drawing & designing in either CAD, AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS. Experience in an engineering role with a mechanical bias & design experience. Our client would consider: Experience in an engineering management position with a mechanical bias, provided the candidate can read drawings & create new drawings. Project managers working on design projects, provided the candidate can read drawings & create new drawings. Design Engineers at senior level or team-lead looking for their first managerial position, provided they have a clear understanding of how they plan to manage a team. Package: £45,000 – £53,000 p/a Company desktop or laptop Company healthcare Company pension Early finish on Fridays 34 days holiday including banks Candidate location: Worcester, Kidderminster, Cleobury, Droitwich Spa, Shelsley Walsh, Redditch
