Design Quality Engineer (CMF)

Design Quality Engineer (CMF) Our automotive Client based in Saudi Arabia is searching for a Design Quality Engineer (CMF) to join their Colour & Trim team to contribute to the brand image in offering the outstanding CMF to meet design intent. You will also lead Appearance Approval Activities. In this Role, you will evaluate all appearance parts based on the spec book requirements to complete AAR. This is a full-time position which requires full relocation to Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities: Develop visible parts list, plan and track all the activities related to AAR Review grain definition (TGSS / Texture Mapping) of grain parts to ensure the final parts will meet design expectation and secure tooling capability. Lead and Coordinate OK to Grain (OKTG) approval activity to start grain kick off. Perform Appearance Approval assessment on single component and Assemblied parts (IP, DP, CC, Seat…) Secure AAR KPIs according to Project Milestones. Have Abilities in illumination and colour assessment. Develop Bordering Books (Upper lower limit sample) when needed and maintain the contents during the project Work in Cross Functional Team (Engineering, Supplier Quality, Project and Plant Quality) to deliver the project. Support Harmony Review (complete car) Support Master Development activities and Master Library management Education: Minimum Degree in Engineering, Materials Sciences and Automotive related degree with 8 years’ experience in Automotive OEM’s or Tier1 suppliers. Excellent in English as communication skills Skills & Competencies: Experience in product development and process metrics in Automotive. Experience in Design Quality validation and approval experience either plastic injection, colour matching High experience in Painting Development and Process. Understand Global Standard related with DQ and AAR Process as per DIN, SAE and ASTM Good Eye as Colourist and Visualization - Pass Farnsworth - Munsell colour test. Good Management of suppliers. Ability to understand CIE Lab colour space, can identify colour differences and deviated direction for improvement. Ability to develop, validate, codification and managing the colour master across commodity according. Sensitive to the details and quality Defects. Comfortable with Ambiguity, Resilience, work effectively under pressure Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Adaptability & Flexibilities, Team Player
