Annual Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 Location: Blackwood Job Type: Full-time Our client is a world leader in the aerospace sector looking for a Design Repair Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in aerospace, particularly in Maintenance Repair & Overhaul. You will be part of a dynamic team, reporting to the engineering manager, and will play a crucial role in supporting both the workshop and design repair schemes. Day-to-day of the role:
Provide high-level support to the workshop and design repair schemes compliant with EASA/UK CAA standards. Familiarise with aircraft engine nacelles, composite materials, and repair design practices and procedures. Develop structurally acceptable and cost-effective repair schemes for a variety of aerospace components, both metallic and composite. Substantiate all schemes to satisfy EASA/UKCAA requirements. Draw basic engineering drawings using CATIA software. Conduct damage investigations and compile detailed reports. Provide full technical support to production teams using comprehensive material and process knowledge. Perform stress analysis in support of the Repair Approval process. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Aerospace background with a minimum of a degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years experience within the aerospace industry, preferably with a repair design background. Proficiency in CATIA and other engineering software desirable. Strong analytical skills and ability to perform stress analysis.
