Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00 Friday: 08:00 – 15:00 Overview: We are seeking a skilled Design Technician with expertise in timber frame building design to join our client's team based in Antrim, Northern Ireland. This role involves creating precise technical drawings and supporting the design process from concept through to completion. The ideal candidate will have a high level of proficiency in AutoCAD, experience with Revit, and a strong foundation in construction or architectural technology.
Key Responsibilities: Produce accurate, detailed technical drawings and design plans for timber frame structures. Collaborate with the design and project teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and timelines. Work with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate and update project drawings as needed. Apply your technical expertise in construction design to support efficient and compliant project delivery. Utilise AutoCAD and Revit to create and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on timber frame building design. A certificate (or higher) in Construction, Architectural Technology, or a related field. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and some experience in Revit. Strong understanding of construction principles and an eye for detail in design work.
