About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and empower young minds to embrace the challenges and rewards of design and technology. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated D&T lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering students' creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical abilities. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging D&T lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in line with the National Curriculum. Foster a love of learning and encourage students to explore design and technology concepts with curiosity and enthusiasm. Develop and implement innovative curriculum initiatives that align with the school's vision and the latest advancements in D&T education. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and challenged to reach their full potential. Build positive and supportive relationships with students, promoting a growth mindset and a belief in their design and making abilities. Play an active role in the department, including contributing to curriculum development, assessment strategies, and departmental meetings. Participate in whole-school events and initiatives, fostering a collaborative spirit and contributing to the wider school community. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified D&T Teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students and fostering their understanding of design and technology principles. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for D&T, with a strong understanding of design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques. Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. A willingness to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.
