ASAP What we are looking for: John Cabot Academy is looking for a Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our supportive and talented team. We are a diverse multi-Academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning. To be successful in the post, we are looking for a Designated Safeguarding Lead who will act as the main point of contact, with lead responsibility within the Academy, for safeguarding and child protection in line with statutory requirements. Duties will include: Lead in facilitating the development of safeguarding policies, guidance, training, and procedures for the Academy. Evaluate training provided, ensure compliance, and ensure that safeguarding is embedded in the culture of the Academy. Produce written reports and audits for internal or CLF analysis and review. Lead school-based meetings and CPD sessions for safeguarding or wider staff members. Line manage members of the wider safeguarding team e.g. DDSL as directed. The checks will also include an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list.
