This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your already outstanding design career where you will be instrumental in driving key looks and contributing to the creative direction. Reporting to the Head Of Berlei, you will implement and execute seasonal assortment plans and design briefs. Your focus is ensuring the Berlei brand is considered first, with the product ranges built around the brand aesthetic. This is a highly creative product design and development, colour and print driven role - if you are someone who is passionate about fashion and the intimates space, that would be highly advantageous. You will be managing one direct report in a Design Assistant, so you must have some experience coaching, mentoring and guiding Design Assistants. The design team is highly collaborative and design together to get the best output, with a focus on workshopping in an open forum. This has been central to the brand's success. You will collaborate with Designers across adjacent categories as well as across the Innovation team. Key responsibilities include: Creating and executing design concepts with a focus on shape, colour and print direction Hands-on design including fabric and lace selection, fittings and prototype sampling Collaborating and developing strong relationships with cross-functional teams Project design work and collaboration Ability to conduct product presentations Essential for your success is: Proven track record in similar design roles: 2-5+ years' experience at Designer level or senior Design Assistant level An innovative and creative approach to design Inspirational team leadership capability An ability to work quickly and deliver a high output with high attention to detail Knowledge and understanding of fabrics, laces, and fibres will be highly advantageous An ability to drive design projects from concept through to execution Experience with Illustrator and Photoshop is required Cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace At Hanes Australasia, we value an inclusive and diverse environment in line with our purpose of creating the fabric of a better life for our People and Planet.
