Spencer & James, partnered with a family run multi disciplinary Main Contractor, are seeking a Designer to support the pre-construction and construction teams in coordinating the technical information from RIBA Stages 1 to 7 on large scale Waterproofing projects across London. Role:

30,000 - 45,000 (Basic Salary) Benefits:

Overview As a Designer within this team, you will be assisting the pre-construction team in advising during tender stages, completing design works for assigned waterproofing projects to ensure value, coordinating with design team members through RIBA stages 1-7, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, promoting project work, delivering timely and budgeted design information, and managing design coordination for project delivery in accordance with industry standards and company policies. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliant design on assigned projects, minimizing rejections. Support timely issuance of designs aligned with schedules. Collaborate with Management Team for workload management. Identify and mitigate Design risks to minimize exposure. Contribute design input during Tender stages. Manage complete Contractors Proposals production. Obtain approvals and manage statutory connections. Develop pre-construction design programs for tenders. Coordinate consultant appointments and scope. Liaise with planning, building control, and bodies. Align design timelines with procurement and project stages. Oversee supply chain involvement in design. Hold design audits to ensure alignment with intent. Manage client approvals for design and materials. Schedule completion of design during construction. Manage construction stage, design changes, and updates. Collaborate with Site Management for delivery. Provide input to Commercial and Quantity Surveying teams. Stay current with industry regulations and best practices. Requirements 2+ years experience in technical design role working on roofing, waterproofing or facade projects at a Main Contractor.
