We are thrilled to announce an opening for a Desktop Support role within our dynamic IT department. In this crucial position, you will play a key role in providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. Your primary responsibilities will include: Desktop Support: Use of ticketing system to facilitate Desktop Support. Use of document library to manage Work Instructions. Telephony: Purchase, configure, install, and support mobile devices and internal phone system. Liaise with the telephony suppliers. Client Hardware and Software: Purchase, install, configure, and support any client hardware and software. Standardise and maintain operating Instructions. Network Administration: Set up new users and hardware onto the network. Set up and install printers. Desktop Software Licensing and Asset Management: Maintain Asset register of all IT equipment. Maintain register of all software licensing. Project Management: Manage, assess and report on project activities to meet deadlines. Inform and work with other users. Key Software Support: Have a basic understanding and support of all key business software packages. Provide training to team on business-critical job specific functions. Proactively contribute towards improving the IT team. Provide support and training to users of telephony, photocopiers, hardware, and software. The Candidate: We are looking for a talented and driven individual who finds this role both challenging and rewarding. The ideal candidate will have: Minimum of an HND in computing or relevant discipline. Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience. Hands-on experience of Microsoft Windows environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites or equivalent applications. Working knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals. Experience of software license management. Selecting and purchasing hardware and software. Experience of document management tools. Purchase, install and configure mobile telephony.
