Despatch Team Leader (Nights) Arla Foods, Stourton Dairy, LS10 1AX An exciting opportunity for a Despatch Team Leader has arisen to join our Stourton site. Our Stourton Dairy is a 24/7 site, producing private label products but also well-known brands such as Cravendale and BoB. This is a key role on site, as the individual will lead and coach a team to improve the overall performance of the Despatch Department, whilst also ensuring that the planned volume is distributed on schedule and in line with the required quality specifications and safety standards. This is a Night shift role, working 4 on 4 off, permanent days (12 hr) shift pattern , although occasional flexibility may be required. About the job Responsible for delivering operational plans and setting day-to-day team objectives to deliver the business policies and programmes in the Despatch area managing around 25 people. Ensure quality and food safety within own area of responsibility, and maintain a quality and food safety mind-set. Attend and/or lead Daily SIC’s to align work with cross-functional teams. Provide updates including clear actions at the DRM’s for their Department. Lead the Core team to complete the daily direction setting tasks. Coaching team on new ways of working. Regular updates with Team Manager & SMT. What you’ll need to be successful in the role Demonstrated ability to manage a group of individuals or a team. Strong technical mindset, ambitious and KPI driven with a focus on optimisation of the processing plant and the reduction of waste. Good communicator with a natural coaching style. The following skills and experiences would also be desirable: Leadership and People Management skills. Performance management. Good understanding of SAP and its applications. Lean knowledge and application of One CI. Process driven data collection. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools. Benefits Competitive salary.
