Groupe Atlantic are a French family owned international organisation employing 8,000 people and boasting a turnover in excess of €2bn. They specialise in providing heating and ventilation products for both domestic and commercial markets.

The UK & ROI Division has several market leading brands including the household name Ideal Heating who manufacture in excess of 400,000 boilers per year. Recent activity has seen a drive to support its increasing focus on new and sustainable heating technologies.

Opportunity

Due to continued growth and demand for product development we are looking to speak to Development Engineers who are experienced in the delivery of product development from initial business sign off through to manufacture to join Groupe Atlantic UK, ROI & North America. This role will work as part of a multi-discipline R&D team to complete R&D activities on both new and existing project ranges.

The Development Engineer will also be responsible for:

Contributing to continuous improvement, ensuring ongoing review of technology, processes, and outcomes Working with gas, hydraulic & refrigeration circuits Environmental impacts and specification of thermodynamic loads Improving knowledge from in-field application of low carbon products Applying theoretical and practical approach to engineering problem solving & solution evaluation Working with third party expertise to meet NPI & CIP activities Participate in specified research, design & development activities Completing activities in full, to time and cost to meet programme requirements

Person

To be successful in the role of Development Engineer you will have:

Experience and knowledge of working with heating products/appliances is desirable The ability to critically analyse problems A solid background in product development and innovation A solid understanding of thermodynamics Experience of setting up and operating testing rigs Relevant qualifications with Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, preferably HNC/HND or degree qualified The ability to communicate and build relationships with both internal and external teams Excellent relationship building skills, and a can-do attitude Excellent communication skills
