Job Title : Development Engineer

Reporting To : Engineer, Lead Development

Work Schedule : Onsite - Wolverhampton, GBR We are seeking a Development Engineer to support the development of Moog's primary flight control actuation products. This hands-on role involves early product builds, conducting risk reduction or design development tests, and performing qualification testing to provide verification evidence required for certification.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform early product builds and develop processes and techniques for assembling and testing new products. Conduct risk reduction or design development tests and perform qualification testing. Generate test records, produce test reports, and investigate test failures using the FRACAS process. Set up and conduct tests, including the use of instrumentation and data acquisition. Develop assembly and test processes for new products and contribute to continuous improvement activities. Qualifications : Minimum HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline. Proven capability in the build and test of actuation system assemblies, hydraulic products, or similar. Experience in a test environment, particularly certification testing, is advantageous. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components, and practical engineering skills. Familiarity with MS Office applications and data acquisition software such as Labview, DasyLAB, and Flexlogger. Experience within an Aerospace company is highly desirable. Personal Skills : Self-motivated and a good team worker. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage priorities and multi-task efficiently to meet project deadlines. Special Circumstances : Accuracy in work is crucial to ensure robust verification data for certification. Testing may be performed under the scrutiny of customers or aviation certification authorities. Some travel may be required to external test houses. Security Clearance : Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
