We have the opportunity for a

DevOps Architect

to join our IT department here at

Tokio Marine Kiln.

You will report to the

Head of Enterprise Architecture

and will be responsible for leading the design and architecture of our DevOps infrastructure and infrastructure as code. The role includes responsibility for: Design and develop scalable, secure and robust DevOps architectures. Create and optimise continuous integration and delivery pipelines. Automate, build, test and deployment processes to enhance efficiency. Work closely with platform services, test and operations teams to streamline workflows. Offer technical advice and mentorship on DevOps/IaC best practices to any team interested in implementing infrastructure as code and DevOps. Ensure all systems comply with industry standards and regulations. Manage suppliers and vendors where appropriate, and in line with agreed supplier management KPI’s. Responsible for ensuring that DevOps Architecture processes and procedure documentation is kept up to date and shared with all relevant stakeholders. It is essential that you have demonstrable experience in a DevOps role, preferably at architecture level. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash and Python as well as experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure are also essential. It would also be highly beneficial to have knowledge of containerisation and orchestration, as well as an understanding of microservices architecture and Restful API’s. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who also has the ability to present ideas and influence in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
