It allows users to self-provision private, high-performance connections among a global ecosystem of enterprises, networks, clouds, SaaS providers, IoT providers and applications providers.DevOps Engineer, IT About the Role We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in maintaining our internal systems and infrastructure. You will also support our development teams in implementing and integrating internal applications. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including database administration, automation, and deployment. Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize our internal systems and infrastructure. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of our systems. Implement and manage database solutions, primarily MySQL. Development Support: Collaborate closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide technical guidance. Implement and integrate internal applications using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, PHP, and API/Pub/Sub-based integration. Automate build, test, and deployment processes using tools like GitLab CI/CD (or potentially GitHub Actions). DevOps Practices: Promote and implement DevOps principles and practices. Automate tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues. Database Administration: Manage and optimise MySQL databases, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security. Troubleshoot database-related issues and implement effective solutions. Essential Requirements: A strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices. Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python). Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins). Knowledge of database administration, particularly MySQL. Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Desirable Requirements: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, PHP, and API/Pub/Sub-based integration. Experience with Docker Swarm and Jira Cloud Administration. Relevant industry certifications.
