Remote DevOps Engineer Salary: 35,000 - 70,000 GBP per year At Cencora, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer!

Requirements:

Demonstrable experience in an operational role with the Azure cloud platform as an engineer or in another related technical cloud-focused role. Experience working with Microsoft Azure with knowledge of cloud-native services (Azure DNS, Application Gateway, Azure SQL Server, App Services, Blob Storage, Load Balancer, WAF) and best practices for working with technology. An understanding of technologies that underpin a DevOps approach to cloud migration and management, including but not limited to Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration-as-Code, Containerization and Orchestration, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Test Automation using programming languages like Terraform and PowerShell. Excellent understanding of networking principles (IP addressing, virtual networks, network security, and networking models). Understanding of observability and site-reliability principles (SLOs, SLIs) and working with engineering teams to improve applications and platforms.

Your responsibilities: As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be joining the Cloud Engineering team working to drive solutions for design, build, and operational aspects of our infrastructure in Azure Cloud. You will work closely with the engineering and technical support teams to proactively improve our offerings to our clients from a scalability, reliability, and speed-to-market perspective.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development and implementation of strategy related to cloud platforms and services to best serve the goals of the business. Ensure design/change (DevOps) and execution is aligned and working to best practices around infrastructure and security. Design and implement cloud platforms and services using automation and coding. Leverage orchestration and automation techniques to drive efficiency. Work with the team on critical analysis and problem solving for operational problems in the platform (logs, metrics, traces) and root cause analysis. Configure/build, maintain, and document Azure cloud components. Continuously monitor and undertake security analysis of the platform using automated tools. Patch and maintain our Windows estate while overseeing the move to Linux-based operating systems as standard for compute, data, and ancillary services. Define, contribute, and update standard operating procedures for all operational aspects of the platform. Be part of the out-of-hours support rota in support of the services your team owns and manages.
