DevOps Release Engineer:

Ageas is seeking an experienced and result-driven DevOps Release Engineer to work as a part of a cross-functional team, with hands-on experience working within the organisation’s software development lifecycle. This role heavily focuses on day-to-day management of application build, release and deploy aspects to deliver faster and safer continuous high-quality software to business.

Main Responsibilities as DevOps Release Engineer: Take ownership of creating and maintaining existing CI/CD solutions (Jenkins & Azure DevOps) to meet build, test, release and deploy & security requirements. Manage and perform application build, package and software release management process to deploy to all environments. Hands-on proven experience in developing standardised, automated build & release processes to support agile delivery methodology. Define, create & manage application software code branches to support application branching approach. Experience with source code management system e.g. git is essential. Liaise with 3rd party vendors for application support pertaining to DevOps and production deployment. Skills and experience you need as DevOps Release Engineer: Demonstrable experience (at least 5 years) as a DevOps Release Engineer or similar roles. Experience with EIS policy admin system will be highly desirable. Proven experience and hands-on experience with a wide range of DevOps toolchain – Jenkins, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Git / GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Selenium. Experience with cloud technologies – Azure e.g. Kubernetes, App Services, Azure Functions etc. and proficiency in managing cloud-based infrastructure.
