IT Security Engineer
Hybrid working policy: 2 days per week in the office.
DGH Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf a leading global professional services firm who are looking for an IT Security Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.
This role will be joining as part of a team of 4 in Information Security and suite someone with 2+ years experience in IT Security/Cyber Security who is keen to progress their career.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operate the security tools to protect systems, such as anti-malware, network protection systems, and the SIEM tool.
- Act as an information security escalation point for the IT Service Desk, and IT peers.
- Respond to service tickets assigned to the information security team.
- When required, effectively escalate service tickets or a discovered information security issue to senior members of the Information Security team.
- Assist in the collection of the evidence and information needed to support the responses to client audits, or to ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Required Skills/Experience:
- A strong understanding of Information Security fundamentals such as Defence in Depth, Access Control, Identity, Cryptography and Least privilege.
- A strong understanding of technologies used in an enterprise computing environment such as Active Directory, Windows security, patching systems, Certificate Authorities and public cloud technology.
- A good understanding of systems important to cyber security, including: Firewalls, EDR, Web Proxy, IPS, Security groups, SIEM tools, email security gateways.
