Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a new opportunity? We have a rewarding role available where you will care for our service user on a 1:1 basis within their own home. We are looking for an experienced and committed Registered Nurse who holds key skills and expertise in clinical care, to support a vibrant lady at her home in Skipton. You will be passionate about delivering the highest quality care to our service users and building positive relationships with them and their families, whilst empowering them to live as independently as possible within the comfort of their own home. Main duties of the job

Our service user is a lady in her 30s who lives with her loving family in Skipton. She has a rare condition known as Autoimmune Insulin Syndrome or Hirata's Disease, which leads to low blood sugar levels, and requires the dedicated care of an experienced Diabetes Nurse to support her overnight. This would be every Sunday night, during term time only. Her condition can change rapidly and is potentially life-threatening. Therefore, it is essential that you stay alert and responsive, monitoring her closely throughout the night and regularly checking her blood sugar levels to ensure they remain stable. About us

Meet our service user Our service user is a lady in her 30s who lives with her loving family in Skipton. It is important that her needs are attended to in a timely manner and that she has a restful nights sleep, for her to lead the life she wishes. She is a courageous lady who plays an active role in her care and enjoys helping others who have their own health conditions, this has previously been at large events and even the Houses of Parliament. Our ideal candidate will be a skilled Diabetes Nurse, who has knowledge and understanding of our service users condition. In addition to this, you must hold exemplary documentation skills with the ability to complete accurate records and follow a personalised clinical pathway, responding to changing needs as required and ensuring the continuity of care. Essential Experience required Practicing Registered Nurse with current NMC Pin for at least 12 Months Knowledge of Autoimmune Insulin Syndrome Insulin Administration Please note, our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
